Monday's meeting

today's meeting went really well. We discussed the meanings behind graffiti and looked at the basic five w's for graffiti. We also read through and talked about an article I found about a graffiti artist and the wikipedia excerpt on graffiti. During the first half we also looked at some books that showed different graffiti expressions; one was the negative side and how it is used amongst gangs and the other book showed the positive side of graffiti. Then we made our own graffiti using the art supplies that were provided. The second half we went to the library and the kids took advantage of the resources and researched graffiti and had to bring to the group something different about graffiti that we hadn't discussed.

Everything went well today and I hope Wednesday's meeting goes well. We only had 3 students today but it was fun nevertheless. We didnt give the group any homework for Wednesday.
